Purely
Vocals has been engaging crowds with their intricate harmonies,
soulful solos and creative vocal percussion since 2001. Originally formed as a fundraising source for a local community
chorus, PV has evolved from a six-woman group to its current
four-woman line up. Charming audiences
at both private functions and public performances, PV's sound comes
from voices only. Ever evolving
and varied as the group's individual personalities, PV's repertoire
includes an eclectic mix of
pop, easy listening, folk, world music, show tunes and Christmas
favorites.
Purely Vocals has had the pleasure of singing the National Anthem for
the Red Sox's triple-A farm team, the Pawtucket Red Sox, for three years
and are looking forward to their return this fall. They've wowed
crowds at the Hingham, MA cabaret in January of 2009 & 2010 and were
featured performers at the
National Debate
Series: Boston Program in November 2009. PV recently performed in
the South Shore Folk Music Club's Open-Mic series in Kingston, MA and
were thrilled to be chosen to perform with
Suffolk
University's Ramifications,
MIT/Wellesley College's Toons,
Northeastern's Downbeats and
Berklee College of
Music's Pitch Slapped in a Suffolk sponsored a cappella showcase
this March.
