Purely
Vocals has been engaging crowds with the sheer joy of the musical moment since
2001. Originally formed as a fundraising source for a local
community chorus, PV evolved from a six-woman group to its current four-woman
ensemble set up.
Charming
audiences at both private functions and public performances, PV's sound comes from voices only—through intricate
harmonies, soulful solos and creative vocal percussion. Ever evolving
and varied as the group's individual personalities, PV's repertoire
includes an eclectic mix of
pop, easy listening, folk, world music, show tunes and Christmas
favorites.
Purely Vocals has had the pleasure of singing the National Anthem for
the Red Sox's Triple-A farm team, the Pawtucket Red Sox, for
multiple years. They have performed locally at various town
and private events, as well as wowing the crowds in Hingham,
Massachusetts' cabaret in January 2009. PV was voted as one of the
finalists of the Braintree BASE program's "Idol"
competition in 2008 and were picked to sing the National Anthem at
the November 2009 National
Debate Series: Boston.
